Frieren gets crying-face goods ahead of January 2027 release
COSPA is launching new Frieren clothing, acrylic goods and bags in January 2027, with selected items getting an early Mach★Asobi sale.
Frieren (葬送のフリーレン) is getting a fresh batch of COSPA merchandise, led by a crying-face acrylic keychain and a T-shirt built around one of the character's most wonderfully dramatic lines. The new range is scheduled for release in late January 2027, with selected items receiving an early sale at Mach★Asobi vol.31 on 17 and 18 October. 1
What is in the new Frieren range
The headline item is the Frieren crying-face acrylic keychain, priced at ¥880. Its design shows the elf mage sobbing while being held by the keychain clip, turning the character's distress into exactly the sort of delightfully odd bit of merchandise that anime fans collect. COSPA's official product listing marks it as a new, reservation and event-sale item. 2
The clothing line includes a crying-face Frieren T-shirt priced at ¥3,300, alongside shirts featuring Stark, Genau's Black-Gold Wings spell and a design built around the phrase about being made to work in a mine for 300 years. The range also includes a Frieren face long-sleeve shirt at ¥4,290.
There is more than apparel. The announcement lists acrylic keychains for the Southern Hero and Revolte, a Mimic-eaten Frieren reel keychain, several quote acrylic stands, and bags including a ripstop knapsack and two tote designs. Most of the products are planned for late-January release, although the Mach★Asobi early-sale stock is limited and some products may have size restrictions.
Where to buy the goods
COSPA is presenting the products through its official Frieren merchandise catalogue, while Anime! Anime! reports the launch timing and the event-first-sale details. That makes this a product announcement rather than a new anime broadcast update: the useful news is the release window, prices and the unusually broad spread of character designs. 12
The merchandise arrives while Frieren: Beyond Journey's End remains one of anime's most recognisable fantasy properties. The current range leans into small character jokes and expressive faces rather than trying to sell one large commemorative visual, which gives it a more specific appeal than a standard logo T-shirt.
Our opinion
This is a strong little merchandise drop because it understands what makes Frieren memorable outside its larger fantasy story. The crying-face design, the mine-work gag and the character quote stands are immediately legible to fans, while the prices and January window give shoppers practical information rather than vague teaser copy. The only catch is availability: anyone targeting a Mach★Asobi exclusive should treat the early sale as a limited opportunity, not assume every listed item will be on the event table.
