VIZ Media has announced that the first English volume of Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 8 — JoJolion will launch in Summer 2027. The release will be a deluxe hardcover edition with colour pages, giving English-language readers an official route into one of the franchise’s longest-unavailable manga parts. 12

What VIZ has announced

The announcement came from VIZ Media’s official account on October 16. It confirms the Summer 2027 window for the first volume, but does not yet provide a final day, pre-order details or cover art. Siliconera’s report also identifies the edition as a hardcover with colour pages and notes that the precise date has not been announced. 12

Why JoJolion matters

JoJolion is the eighth major part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and follows a new version of Josuke Higashikata in the fictional town of Morioh. The story begins with Josuke waking up without his memories and becoming entangled in the Higashikata family’s secrets, the Wall Eyes and the mysterious Locacaca fruit. Those details are context for the manga itself; VIZ’s announcement is specifically about an English-language publishing release, not a newly announced anime adaptation. 13

The English edition will complete a major gap for readers following the JoJo manga through VIZ. The publisher has already been releasing other parts in deluxe formats, but JoJolion has not previously had a confirmed English volume schedule from VIZ. The Summer 2027 window therefore gives readers a firm planning point, even though the launch date and retail listings still need to follow.

What has not been confirmed

VIZ has not announced the final cover, the number of chapters in the first volume, pre-order timing or the full release schedule for later volumes. The confirmed territory is VIZ’s English-language publishing market, so the Summer 2027 information should not be treated as a worldwide launch date. 12

Our opinion

A confirmed English release for JoJolion is the sort of long-awaited publishing news that deserves a clear, cautious headline. The Summer 2027 window is meaningful, but readers should wait for the cover, price and pre-order information before treating it as a complete launch announcement. VIZ has supplied the important part for now: JoJolion is finally on the English-language schedule.
