Katekyo Hitman Reborn! has released a creditless version of its fifth opening, giving the long-running anime’s 20th-anniversary celebrations another nostalgic musical hit.
What's actually going on
The opening features “last cross” by Masami Mitsuoka, a song used across Episodes 102 to 126. The newly released video is part of “REBORN! MUSIC MONTH”, a September project delivering creditless versions of the series’ past theme sequences through the official YouTube channel.
The project began with a 25-song playlist covering opening themes, ending themes and other music from the television anime. The fifth opening follows the newly released eighth ending, “CYCLE” by CHERRYBLOSSOM.
Why it matters
These sequences were previously available with physical releases but had not been officially published online. The anniversary project is therefore doing more than replaying old favourites: it is making a sizeable chunk of the anime’s musical history easier to revisit.
