Little Twin Stars return with a starry Twinkle chocolate tin

Little Twin Stars and Meiji’s Twinkle chocolate return with a ¥2,200 tin set containing stickers and character artwork.

The Little Twin Stars (リトルツインスターズ) are returning to Meiji’s Twinkle chocolate range for a second collaboration, this time with a starry tin filled with chocolate and character-themed stickers.12

The Twinkle x Little Twin Stars Starry Tin Set launches in Japan on 20 October 2026. It includes one Twinkle chocolate, a small cofre tin decorated with Little Twin Stars artwork and 10 flake stickers across five designs.1

What is in the tin set

Meiji says the new design brings together Kiki, Lala and their friends as they celebrate Twinkle-chan. The tin is intended to remain useful after the chocolate has been eaten, with enough room for small accessories or other keepsakes.1

The product follows the first Little Twin Stars collaboration, a sticker-book set released in February. Meiji says that earlier release sold out quickly through some online retailers, prompting this second collaboration.1

The new set costs ¥2,200 including tax. It is being sold through selected supermarkets, drugstores and some online retailers, although availability varies by shop.12

The partnership also continues a wider anniversary campaign for Twinkle, Meiji’s egg-shaped milk chocolate. The brand reached its 45th anniversary in November 2025, with related promotions scheduled to continue through November 2026.1

Where to buy it

The tin set is aimed at Japanese shoppers rather than being announced as a worldwide release. Meiji and Sanrio have not listed international distribution in the announcement, so collectors outside Japan should check retailer availability carefully rather than assume that every online listing is an official export route.1

The campaign’s appeal is obvious: it combines a practical keepsake tin with a small, relatively affordable character collaboration, rather than asking fans to buy a large display item. The five sticker designs also give the release a collectable hook without changing what is fundamentally a chocolate product.

Our opinion

This is a neatly judged second collaboration. The first release established that the two brands work well together, while the tin set gives fans a different reason to buy: the packaging survives after the chocolate is gone. The ¥2,200 price is higher than a standard snack, but the reusable tin and 10 stickers make it feel more like a small character gift than a simple seasonal chocolate. The main caveat is availability, particularly for fans outside Japan, so buyers should verify the seller and the contents before paying collector prices.
