Re:ZERO closes season 4 with a Rem epilogue visual
The official anime portal paired the 4th season finale with new Rem artwork and closing comments from Yusuke Kobayashi and Inori Minase.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- has finished its 4th season, and the official anime portal marked the finale with an epilogue visual built around Rem, published alongside closing comments from the actors who play Rem and Subaru.
What the portal published
Two entries landed on 30 September. The first is the epilogue visual itself, a still that carries the line “Rem, I wanted to see you” — the sentiment the season spent its final stretch building toward. The second collects finale comments from Yusuke Kobayashi, who voices Natsuki Subaru, and Inori Minase, who voices Rem.
Kobayashi’s message does not pretend the ending is a cheerful one. “It is not an ending you can celebrate unreservedly,” he writes, “but let me say this much. Welcome back. I wanted to see you.” He adds that he would like to talk the season through at length on radio and at events.
A closing statement rather than a teaser
The portal framed both posts as a commemoration of the final episode rather than a preview of what comes next, which is unusual for a series that normally keeps its next move close to its chest. Taken together, the artwork and the two messages are addressed to viewers who followed the 4th season all the way to its last frame.
Our opinion
Rem has spent most of this season off-screen, so a farewell visual that hands her the entire frame — tagged with what amounts to a greeting — is a pointed piece of closure. What makes it land is the asymmetry: Subaru gets the plot, Rem gets the promise, and the audience is left holding both. The casting of Inori Minase and the choice to give her something to say on the way out, rather than a silent portrait, is the detail worth noticing here.
