Sanrio Velvety Night prizes arrive at Taito locations in November

Sanrio’s starry Velvety Night prize range reaches Taito arcades and its online crane service from 14 November, with a stamp rally and prize draw alongside it.

Sanrio’s Velvety Night prize campaign is coming to Taito locations across Japan this November, bringing a small army of starry-eyed mascots, pouches, keyrings and blankets to arcades and Taito’s online crane service. The campaign runs from 14 November to 6 December 2026, with stock available while supplies last. 1

The range uses Sanrio Characters’ “Velvety Night — A Gift from the Sparkling Night” design. The five headline prize lines are a Hello Kitty Velvety Night Doll GGJ, a drawstring-style pouch, mascots, pom-pom keyrings and a blanket. Taito’s official campaign page shows the mascots in blue, white and yellow night-time outfits, complete with tiny star details. 1

The prizes will appear at participating Taito Station locations nationwide, as well as Taito Online Crane. Taito warns that some locations may not carry every item and that the prizes are limited, so the exact line-up will depend on the participating venue. 1

There is more than just a crane-game drop attached to the promotion. Taito Station’s official X account is running a follow-and-repost draw for 30 serial-numbered doll prizes. A separate stamp rally in the Taito Station app offers points for touching the campaign touchpoints at participating venues. Collecting three stamps earns a free crane-game ticket, while 20 winners can receive a sofa-shaped jewellery box and keyring-doll set. 1

Anime! Anime! reports the same five-item line-up and places the campaign dates at 14 November through 6 December. Its report also identifies the wider prize range, including the six-design pouch, mascot and keyring lines. 2

Our opinion

This is a straightforward Sanrio arcade promotion rather than a new character announcement, but the unusually coherent Velvety Night styling gives it a stronger identity than a routine merchandise drop. The mascot set is the clearest draw: it gives collectors a recognisable group to chase, while the stamp rally and online crane option make the campaign more than a single-venue release. The practical catch is availability. With limited quantities and venue-by-venue differences, fans should check the participating-store list before making a trip.
