STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Kurisu figure glows inside a giant gear
A new 1/7-scale Kurisu Makise figure turns STEINS;GATE’s branching timelines into a glowing mechanical display piece, with reservations open for a planned 2028 release.
The latest STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT merchandise is taking its time-travel aesthetic literally. A new 1/7-scale Kurisu Makise figure surrounds the scientist with glowing binary panels, a huge gear and a satellite motif, turning the franchise’s branching timelines into a tall mechanical display piece.
The figure is now available to pre-order through selected retailers, including AmiAmi, for ¥67,800 including tax. The release is planned for April 2028, so this is an early reservation rather than a product that is about to reach shelves. TRIKT is listed as the brand, with the finished piece standing at roughly 350mm tall.
Kurisu is posed at the centre of the composition, wearing her familiar white shirt, red tie, brown jacket and black shorts. Around her, the display adds keyboards, cables, a large gear and panels filled with illuminated zeroes and ones. The arrangement gives the figure a more elaborate silhouette than a straightforward character statue.
The lighting is a major part of the design. The product information says the figure includes LED effects that change the mood of the scene through colour and shadow. A USB Type-C cable and power supply are not included, however, so buyers will need to provide the cable required to power the display.
The piece is based on STEINS;GATE (シュタインズ・ゲート), the science-adventure series created by Chiyomaru Shikura and originally launched as a game in 2009. The franchise later expanded into television anime, spin-offs and STEINS;GATE 0, while STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is positioned as a remake of the original story.
TRIKT credits Kenzo with the sculpt, GSC Production Department with production assistance and Iwabitsu with the painting. The listing also says the figure is being distributed through a limited selection of retailers, which makes checking the retailer’s latest price, stock and delivery information important before placing an order.
Our opinion
This looks like a strong piece for collectors who want a display that communicates what STEINS;GATE is about rather than simply presenting Kurisu on a plain base. The satellite, gear and binary screens give it a clear visual idea, and the lighting should make it feel different from a static shelf figure. The reservations are the obvious ones: the price is substantial, the wait runs into 2028 and the separate USB-C power requirement adds one more thing to a display already designed around electronics. The imagery is striking, but buyers should treat the reservation details as changeable until the retailer confirms the final release information.
